no more comparing

But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else. Galatians 6:4

So don't throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.  Hebrews 10:35

Girls are really good at ranking each other and comparing themselves to other girls.  We wish we were tan, owned cute clothes, had blonde hair, were taller, or were as skinny as her.  In our group of friends, we know who's the prettiest, the funniest, the smartest, and who has the cutest clothes.  God doesn't work like that.  He only has eyes for you.  The Bible says that each person should examine their own work, not in comparison to someone else.  Your heart for God and your good actions stand alone.  God never says, "Well you did a good job, but your best friend did a lot for Me this week."  Nor does He say, "You messed up a lot, but at least you weren't as bad as that girl." Nope. God loves YOU individually.  He never compares you to your friends, your siblings, or to your parents.  Comparing yourself to other girls is dangerous because it can produce arrogance or false guilt.

Confidence is knowing and accepting who you are and liking yourself.  In Christ, you can have absolute, complete confidence in who you are.  Christ-centered confidence starts with knowing who God is, then you start to understand His love for you. The fact that a great and powerful God loves YOU and made YOU is enough to bring confidence to even the most insecure girl. Not only did God make you, but He wants to be involved in your life.  He gave His own Son to have a relationship with you.  He has blessed you with a combination of gifts and talents that no one else has.  He believes in you and has a purpose for your life!!

Keep your eyes on Christ and let Him convict and encourage you, not other girls.  Then you can walk with God in the full confidence of who you are in Him. We must fix our eyes on Christ in order to live for Him.  So many things try to distract us: friends, boys, just being busy. But those things don't have power over us. He is the source of our faith. He is the only one who has the answers and the help we need.  If you're focusing on something else right now, stop and redirect your gaze to Jesus.  He is the only one who can steer our lives the way He wants them to go.

When you're feeling bad about yourself, cling to the confidence of Christ.  In Him you are absolutely beautiful and capable of doing great things for His name.  Live, breathe, and sleep in the unshakable confidence that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as Lord.

let's live in the confidence of Christ!! <3

^love love love this!!
